Help CMEC Recycle!
At the Children’s Museum, we do love being green (as Kermit would say). Our play-ologists frequently incorporate recyclable materials into our Trash-to-Treasure Hunt Makerspace, weekly programs and arts or crafts projects. We also occasionally accept new or gently used toys to put out in our exploratory play spaces. If you have any of the following items on hand and would rather not keep them, let us know! In general, we are especially in need of the following types of items:
- Gently Used Costumes & Costume Pieces for Show Business (child AND adult sizes!)
- Plastic grocery bags
- Toilet Paper Tubes
- Cardboard Egg Cartons
- Scrapbook Paper
- Ribbon & Yarn
- Paper Plates
- Musical Instruments (electric keyboards, boomwhackers, tambourines, drums, xylophones, durable play instruments, etc.)
- Nostalgic Family Games (think Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect Four, Yahtzee, etc.)
- Blank PAPER to use for art projects, painting, etc.
