There is plenty of plenty of FREE, 2-hour street parking available 7 days a week on surrounding, downtown streets. Or, if you’d rather not watch the time, you can park in the municipal parking ramp near our location, right next to U.S. Bank on Gibson Street. Current rates are $0.50 per hour.

Looking for the best way to watch this year's Total Solar Eclipse? The Museum is celebrating the phenomenon with a BANG! Join us for a downtown block party, complete with foods trucks, balloon animals, face painting, Nano science, building blocks and more! And don't miss "TOTALITY: Explore Eclipses," a special show occurring in our Planetarium multiple times throughout the day. Then throw on your free eclipse glasses for a look at an incredibly rare sight up in the sky! This event is FREE with Museum membership or admission.
Is your child entering Kindergarten this year? Then it's time to celebrate starting school! Visit the Children's Museum of Eau Claire to hop on a real school bus, get moving at Recess, practice a Morning Meeting, sign up for library card, go through a lunch line and more, all FREE for new kindergartners and their families. Homeschoolers are invited, too!
