  • Parking

    There is plenty of plenty of FREE, 2-hour street parking available 7 days a week on surrounding, downtown streets. Or, if you’d rather not watch the time, you can park in the municipal parking ramp near our location, right next to U.S. Bank on Gibson Street. Current rates are $0.50 per hour.

Families can launch a mini rocket with a chemical reaction, create foggy bubbles with dry ice, solve a colorful mystery, make their own dye from bug parts, and much more. Free with Museum membership or admission. No registration needed.

Are your kids fascinated by snot, farts and other impolite bodily functions? Join us for a morning devoted to gross science as we dive into the ickiest parts of the human body and learn why they’re actually important for keeping us healthy. Thanks to our friends at Mayo Clinic Health System, our activities include: Blood biology Pig lungs Glow-in-the-dark germ demonstration (hand-washing demo) The great egg drop (benefits of wearing a helmet) Digestion junction And more! The event is free with Museum membership or admission, and is offered in tandem with the Wisconsin Science Festival.
